Knowledge and Attitudes of the Population of Georgia towards Judiciary, 2018

Within the project “Facilitating Implementation of Reforms in the Judiciary”, implemented by Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC) in cooperation with the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) and Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC), CRRC-Georgia conducted a survey among Georgian-speaking adult residents of Georgia regarding population’s perception of justice and its attitudes towards judges, the court system and knowledge of it.

Attitudes and awareness of courts in Georgia, 2018 Within the project “Facilitating Implementation of Reforms in the Judiciary”, implemented by Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC) in cooperation with the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) and Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC), CRRC-Georgia conducted a survey among Georgian-speaking adult residents of Georgia regarding population’s perception of justice and its attitudes towards judges, the court system and knowledge of it.

Population: Adults (18 years old and over), excluding the populations living in territories affected by military conflict (South Ossetia and Abkhazia).

Sample Design:stratified cluster sampling

Sample Size: 2080 respondents.

Response rate: 42%

Survey mode: Computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI).

Interview languages: Georgian

Fieldwork Dates: August 30, 2018 to September 14, 2018

Results are weighted.
